Fielding Primary School in west London, needed an
attractive garden to replace the bit of grassy land
in front of the school, to celebrate their 50th
anniversary in 2005. They wanted a meeting place
for parents, a separate garden for staff, and some
areas that could be cultivated entirely by

the children under staff supervision. The children
wanted a maze and a water feature (which needless
to say had to be designed with curious 4 year olds in
mind!). We really enjoyed the challenges of this project
- a sizeable space designed for around 500 people to
use regularly for a whole host of different reasons.
